It was billed as a co-main event (because Melina was on the card), but everyone knew that the WSU v Midwest Militia War Games was the REAL main event.  The tweets of JHavok spoke of "death" -- "someone is going to die."  It sounded down, serious.  From the end of the Meet & Greet when the two stables scrapped with each other, to the promos leading up to the match -- blood and death were in the air.  Suspense was build even further during the 30-minute break while the cage was being assembled.  Mercedes Martinez lead the WSU team into the cage.  At two-minute intervals, Brittney Savage and Alicia entered.  The Militia was waiting impatiently for them.  Jessika Havok, Allysin Kay, and Sassy Stephie (Ohio girls all) were ready for war.  Indeed they seemed to have been born with camoflauge diapers in a chain link crib -- they were born to this violence.  Enjoy the photos, all seen through the screen of the cage.  I was so shocked by the ending that I dropped my camera and failed to get any machete shots.  Amy Lee, the ref, was neutralized early on as she was handcuffed to the lower rope -- not that War "rules" can ever be enforced anyway.  The Militia found a shocking was to get the WSU team to say "I give up."

JOSHIMANIA COUNTDOWN: FIVE, FOUR . . .

I am thrilled that CHIKARA'S JoshiMania dream is unfurling into full blossom this weekend. I hope to take my camera to Asylum Arena in South Philadelphia on December 2.  As I type this, I am listening to Mike Quakenbush talk about the Aja Kong v Sara Del Rey on the Ringbelles podcast posted recently  http://ringbellesonline.com/category/podcast/ .   I cannot wait for this epic match -- two of the biggest heavy-hitters of all time will meet for the first time.  Then there is Uematsu v Toyota -- two CHIKARA favorites -- who are also two of the best in the world!  There is Ozaki/Mio Shirai v Ayako Hamada/Cherry.  Kaori Yoneyama, Tsubasa Kuragaki, and Sawako Shimono are also on line.

Holly Rocamora enlists with Pro Wrestling Eve

The hottest new prospect in Europe is England's own Holly Rocamora (from Lincoln) who recently joined Pro Wreslting Eve.  The 21-year-old is 5'6" and 125 lbs. of pure muscle.  This fitness model and dancer who has recently been training with London's Lucha Libre school promises to bring attitude, skill, and power to the Eve ring.  One can only hope that as her star waxes, she will begin to travel around Europe and ultimately to North America where Canadian, Mexican, and US wrestlers will be lining up to take her on.

AIW: Mia Yim Challenges Mickie Knuckles for the Belt

Mickie Knuckles who won the AIW title this past July at AIW Girls Night Out 4, defended it last Friday against Mia Yim.  As it turned out, a special referee was available -- Gail Kim -- to supervise the action.  This was Mia's debut at AIW and her first forray into Ohio to wrestle.  She was the heel as the ever-popular Mickie Knuckles played the "face" at home in Cleveland.  Gail Kim tweeted today that she forgot she was reffing a few times she was so busy "watching" the action.  Gail had a lot of people watching her too!  And she did not disappoint as she mixed it up with Yim during the post-match delivering a few powerful forearm smashes followed by a clothesline that took Mia down.  One can only dream of a possible match between KIM and YIM (Perhaps an outdoor match in Coex Plaza, Seoul, Korea -- I'd be there!)

According to AIW brass, the match went about 15 minutes!  Fantastic!  That's why we love AIW.  Mia missed her Sky Twister Press and Mickie capitalized on the mistake finishing Mia off with a spinning powerbomb for the three-count.
